VG/PG Ratios Explained
E-liquid is made mostly of two base ingredients — vegetable glycerine (VG) and propylene glycol (PG) — blended in different ratios. The ratio printed on a bottle (like 70/30 or 50/50) tells you how much of each is inside, and it's one of the main things that varies between e-liquid categories in our catalog.
What VG and PG actually do
Vegetable glycerine (VG) is thicker and slightly sweet. A higher-VG liquid generally produces denser vapour and a smoother draw, which is why it's the base most sub-ohm and higher-wattage devices are built around.
Propylene glycol (PG) is thinner and carries flavour more strongly, along with more of the throat sensation associated with regular cigarettes. Higher-PG liquids tend to suit smaller, lower-wattage devices and pod systems better than high-VG blends, which can be too thick for a narrow coil or wick.
Common ratios in our catalog

Shortfill e-liquids are usually sold in a larger bottle than the liquid actually fills, with the empty space left for adding a separate nicotine shot. They're typically higher-VG, sub-ohm-oriented blends aimed at tank and mod users rather than small pod systems.
Choosing a ratio for your device
The short version: match the liquid to the device. Compact pod systems generally handle thinner, higher-PG or nicotine salt liquids better; larger tanks and sub-ohm setups are built for thicker, higher-VG liquids. If a product listing doesn't state a device recommendation, checking the ratio on the label is a reasonable starting point.
